I love chocolate covered pretzels, however I am alone in that sentiment at my house. Joel doesn't like anything sweet and salty mixed together - the things he misses - and the boys don't care for them. So I made these popsicles to share with my helpers during Vacation Bible School.
crushed pretzels mixed with hot fudge topping
press down into mold (I used dixie cups for easy transport.)
blend chocolate ice cream and milk (1 part milk to two parts ice cream) together until smooth and pour on top of pretzel base
cover the cups with press 'n seal or foil, poke a good size hole in the middle, break pretzel rods in half, and insert into popsicle
freeze overnight or at least 6 hours
This popsicle was inspired by a recipe in Frozen Pop and Sweet Treats, a magazine that I picked up at the grocery store. I searched for the magazine to link to, but couldn't find it in the publisher's website. I tweaked it a little to suit my purpose and just eyeballed the amounts.
