Remember the mojo that kicked in right before Christmas? Well, this is the finished product. I had so much leftover material from the girl's skirts. Why not cut them into 7 inch squares and make a patchwork blanket for a friend's new baby! The top went together in an evening.
I used a solid hot pink for the back/binding and hand sewed the binding.
I was going to tie the gray squares to keep it from slipping, but decided to do a little (as in you can barely see it) reverse applique to tack it down.
This blanket is so extremely soft and the perfect weight. I just may have to make one for myself. Maybe string pieced?
