I'm having a hard time trying to get back into the swing of things around here. That's what spring break's slower pace has done to me. I felt exhausted this morning just looking at the busy week ahead. So instead of whining about all the things I must accomplish this week, lets look back at something I made last week.
Burp cloths a la duck. Leftover from my nephew's quilt, those little ducky scraps were perfect for making a baby shower gift. I took these burp cloths at a more relaxed pace, after all it was spring break, and used larger portions of fabric instead of the patchwork ones I've been doing. They really showcase the prints.
I also started my annual spring break skirt, but I'm doing some freehand embroidery on it, so it's not quite done yet. Just imagine: periwinkle, wrap, pin tucks, embroidery, frayed edges. Can't wait!
