My improv quilt blocks are done and ready to be sent off - ahead of schedule. As Noah lay on the couch watching yet another Abbott and Costello yesterday, I got out my blue/green scraps and started laying them out for the project improv charity quilt block due April 1st. There's only so much "AAAAABBOTTTTTTTT!" and "Who's On First?" a girl can take, so I stealthily crept into the other room to start my block. Log cabin-ish is what was called for. I read through this tutorial and got down to business. SO FUN! I made one block, checked on Noah, and then promptly made a second.
My first block was slow, very calculated, and not quite as wonky as I thought it would be. Still, it is my favorite of the two. I just like how the scraps came together in the final design.
My second was much more wonky; I made the cuts more drastic this time.
