I'm more of a cold drink person. When I go to Starbucks I do frapaccino. Tea? Iced and sweet!
The only time I like a good hot drink is when it's cold outside (or almost), and then cocoa is my drink of choice. Hold the marshmallows! Actually now that I think about it, I don't even like my cocoa scalding hot. It's perfect when it's just this side of hot and just that side of warm.
So, do I have you in the mood for some hot chocolate? Here is my favorite recipe for homemade cocoa! This makes a ton! Plenty for the whole family to overwinter with and some for gift giving. Make sure you have plenty of storage containers.
8 qt. box Carnation instant milk
22 oz. Cremora coffee creamer
8 oz. Hershey's cocoa
2 lb. Powdered sugar
Mix together in a VERY LARGE bowl. For best results, sift mixed ingredients together into another bowl. Use 1/3 cup of mix (or three heaping tablespoons) per one cup of boiling water.
